The University of British Columbia offers a Master of Arts in Children’s Literature (MACL) Program, jointly offered by the Departments of English and Language and Literacy Education, the Creative Writing Program, and the School of Library, Archival & Information Studies. The program provides specialized education for graduate students in the study of children’s and young adult. Tuition. Graduate students pay tuition/fees year-round, even if not attending or registered for classes during the summer. Tuition is listed in the UBC Calendar and increases by 2% each April 1. Tuition is calculated per year and paid in three instalments (tuition and various student fees the first week of September, January and May).
Microbiology is the study of minute, simple life forms (microbes), including bacteria, algae, fungi, protozoa, and viruses. Dr. Stanley Coren is Professor Emeritus in the Department of Psychology at the University of British Columbia. He is best known to the public for his popular books on dogs and on general psychological issues, however within the scientific world he is also a highly respected scientist having done research in a wide range of psychological areas including sensory processes (vision and hearing.
Representing the first fully distributed medical education program in Canada, UBC’s MD undergraduate program offers the opportunity to train at one of four geographically distinct sites in British Columbia: UBC’s Vancouver campus in Vancouver (Vancouver-Fraser Medical Program), UBC’s Okanagan campus in Kelowna (Southern Medical Program), the University of Victoria on Vancouver Island.
